Adverse Events and Vaccination: Extensive Local Reaction after Anatoxin Vaccine—A Case Report

Post-vaccine adverse reactions are unwanted medical events that concern both the public and healthcare professionals. The objective of this paper is to present a detailed analysis case an extensive local reaction after administration vaccine dose containing diphtheria–tetanus anatoxins. A good knowledge post-vaccine side effects allows for complete correct diagnosis, as well appropriate individualized recommendations. Such approach contributes restoring confidence in vaccines vaccinations. patient was 6-year-old boy, with history asthma under chronic treatment corticosteroids. He developed inflammatory lesions accompanied by functional disorders left arm, which began six hours fifth diphtheria–tetanus–pertussis–poliomyelitis vaccine. lesions, extended forearm, were locally treated antiseptics systemically hydrocortisone hemisuccinate. They completely remitted within 14 days.
